I'm not a real big musical theatre guy.

BUT.

This...this video by a band called OK Go has got my attention.

This is what musical theatre at Mann will look like.

And along those lines. Does anyone mind if I take down the old show posters hanging in the auditorium? No disrespect intended, but Mann Theatre doesn't look like that anymore.

Take them down, they are ugly. We should put up new posters that are awesome. Like the Snakes on a Plane poster.

I love that video! Imagine how long it took to get that in one shot.

MR: My thinking is that the house should be totally neutral to force the audience to look at whatever is happening on the stage. That said, I do intend to paint an entire green room wall with SLJ's face.

RO: Awesome song, but you know that they hated it by the time they wrapped. I'm guessing that they rehearsed for four to six weeks, then shot it in a day.

A band member's sister is a professional ballet or dance or gym instructor (one of those) and choreographed it for them, and this particular take was actually supposed to be their warm-up run. They said they weren't really trying that hard and were expecting to get the "finished" shot later on. Apparently their stage act includes a lot of synchronized choreography.

(Why in the world do I know this? Somebody help.)

Someone...please. Revive Brennan. I feel bad that the show posters in my auditorium made her pass out.

You should let Mr. Garner know if you're taking the posters down. He probably wants them back.

Mr. Garner had actually suggested I try to give the posters to ex-students.

Zach Davis has requested ownership of the boards--most of which represent shows he worked on as a student. I'd like to give him first right of refusal.

Unless someone objects...
