My son wants to know...
With one semester down (exams this week!), my son Whitaker wants to know what you think of his Dad's classes.Advanced Drama, Film Criticism, Introduction to Drama, and Speech I--these are the classes...even MANN SHOW 2007...how would Coach White do on his first semester exam?
What things do you like? What things can't you stand? Is there anything I can do to improve your experiences in my class? What must I simply keep doing...again and again?
I'll post every response and try to address each, just keep it clean...I'm doing this for my eight year-old son.

ps---I've got no complaints about anything, just that I'm overjoyed with my class. and that's SO wrong. You're not supposed to enjoy classes omgz. crazy kids. gaw.
hahhahahahhaha, yeah. I like having to think about stuff when we write our quizzes, cause we don't do any of that in my freaking AP lit class. it's retarded.

Umm..I really like Film Crit. It's an awesome class. This is my fourth year of high school and I have only taken one other class that I have actually enjoyed in the past 3 years.
That would be my 9th grade english class. My teacher actually enjoyed teaching. No matter how asshole'ish we got at times, he just kept on with his enthusiasm and what not. He was an author. But yeah. I guess that is what I like about you. You actually like what you are doing. I've seen some of your other classes...and they have some shit people in them. But what's great about you...is you just..you know..
haha..you just want to inspire your students to be something great. Expand their minds. Like Brennan said..you actually make us think. I can't remember the last time a teacher actually wanted me to think about something. You know what I mean...
Film Crit isn't just this easy cheesy blah blah you know...class that you take...to watch movies...some of the films we watch are just so fucking great. and then the quizzes...even though I suck at answering them, the questions you put on them...are great. I do not know any other teacher who actually thinks about questions like that. These are tough questions. Awesome questions.
BUT. You know. Don't like..get a fat head or anything...or however that saying goes. Because...that would suck.
Thank you for coming to Mann. J L Mann sucks so much. You've given a lot of people something to look forward to. Your classes are like..."that class that gets you through the day" you know? I guess I don't have that many, but senior year is hard and stuff..
but yeah..good luck with the rest of the year. The play is going to be kickass. AND stuff.
OH! And Michael and I saw the greatest movie ever tonight. It's called Children of Men. And it's great. I cried. And I don't like crying to movies...especially in a theatre. haha. but yeah. great movie. See it. Seriously. Not joking. Do it.

So, yeah, I really didn't like the class earlier this year, cuz there were so many annoying,loud,and all around frustrating people in there who wasted alot of our time when you were trying to make them shut-up. But now that those people are gone(forever!!yay!!)I believe that I will enjoy the class alot more. I been the few days since they've been gone, anyway.
